Release Notes for Version 7.12
The NextMark application update scheduled for the evening of Thursday, November 17, 2011 includes a number changes to improve system stability and usability. Here are the highlights:
- One of the first things users will notice after the update is a new application ‘stripe’ at the top of each page. While the stripe won’t impact the user experience in 7.12, it provides a mechanism to enable application switching in future releases. In 7.12, there will be a single application shown in the stripe called Direct Marketing System—this is simply the name for existing NextMark application.
- We understand that system stability is a critical part of the NextMark service. In the 7.12 release, we addressed a number of issues reported by customers and identified through our Quality Assurance process.
- We also improved the workflow and functionality around the Direct Marketing Exchange (DMAX) in this release. DMAX is a system that provides the ability for trading partners to electronically transmit mailing list orders using a standard protocol. The DMAX standard is expressed through a Web Service Description Language (WSDL) that specifies the structure of electronic documents in Extensible Markup Language (XML) that are transmitted from one party to another via Web Services protocols.
Technical Note: In version 7.12, we support Internet Explorer 8.0. We understand that some of our customers use other browser/version combinations and while most features work fine in them, our testing and development efforts are currently focused on Internet Explorer 8.0. For more details, see the Startup Guide.
