NextMark v5.5 Pays Your Bills

January 31, 2005 Hanover, NH USA – NextMark, Inc., a leading provider of list commerce technology, today announced the release of version 5.5 of its software platform. This new release introduced forty new features that streamline the process of finding, buying, and selling mailing lists. One of the more significant new features is the ability to print checks directly from the system.

Joseph Pych, President of NextMark, said, “Our customers asked us to develop a better way to handle list order payments. They were tired of sending a stack of paper with every payment to justify ordinary adjustments. We developed a check format that provides all the necessary supporting information on the check stub that accompanies the payment. This format also supports payment of multiple bills from multiple orders with one check. This will result in more efficient payment processing by both our users and their vendors.”

Mr. Pych continues, “The problem with list order payments is they very often do not match the corresponding bills. Discrepancies result from typical deductions taken after the results of the computer verification have been received by the client. Deductions are taken off the top for data hygiene, nixies, DMA drops, intra-file duplicates, and other acceptable drops. Further, the base billable quantity and net name run charge are adjusted when applying the CV against the net name arrangement. As a result, the amount being paid is different from the bill that was sent prior to knowing the results of the computer verification. The vendor requires documentation supporting these adjustments. Checks printed from our system provide all documentation in a very clear and concise format.”

NextMark version 5.5 also includes a number of other features including:

  • Improved list search
  • Enhanced markup, discount, and commission calculations
  • Improved clearance processing
  • Improved credit approval controls
