NextMark Select Bridges the Gap between Data Cards and Data

New York, NY – June 17, 2009NextMark, Inc., a leading provider of direct marketing tools and resources, today announced a new service called NextMark Select which provides the first live connection between data cards and mailing list data. Cross Country Computer is the first service bureau to automate data card updates using NextMark Select.

Data cards are the documents that describe mailing lists and insert media programs, and they are the primary tools used by direct marketers when evaluating prospect list sources for new customer acquisition. Prior to NextMark Select, the underlying list data was disconnected from the data cards. This required list managers and owners to manually update data card counts and to manually process count requests for mailing list brokers and mailers.

NextMark Select solves this problem by creating a technological bridge between data cards and data. This two-way connection automates the tedious administration of data cards and paves the way for new analytical applications, such as advanced mailing list profiling, online custom counts, and online ordering.

Connecting data cards to data has been a goal of industry leaders for a very long time. NextMark worked with service bureau Cross Country Computer to implement NextMark Select on behalf of their mutual clients.

“These are great benefits for our list managers and brokers. NextMark Select eliminates redundant administrative tasks, enhances the presentation of our data cards, and profiles each list with actionable data,” said Debra Goldfarb, President of Institute Lists. “Best of all, it’s easy and free. Cross Country and NextMark worked together to provide this service to us.”

NextMark Select is now available for free to more than 1,200 list management companies using NextMark’s data card publishing system to promote their mailing lists, which is also free.

List brokers using NextMark’s list brokerage system gain immediate access to the enhanced data cards powered by NextMark Select.

NextMark is also offering a free program to service bureaus to become Certified Integration Partners. Cross Country Computer is the first such partner.

“Our goal for NextMark Select is to eliminate the hassles of updating data cards while opening up a new protocol that improves communications between list brokers, list managers, and service bureaus,” said Joseph Pych, Founder and President of NextMark. “With Cross Country Computer, our first NextMark Select Certified Integration Partner, we were able to prove the feasibility and ease of integration through NextMark Select. They did a phenomenal job of taking the API and quickly building it into their system.”

NextMark and Cross Country Computer demonstrated NextMark Select for the first time at the DM Days Conference June 16-17 at the Javits Center in New York City. More information is available on NextMark’s website at: http://nextmark.com/select/
